Irish coffee is just so freakin’ delicious! I love drinking it to warm me up on a cold night, or just for sipping on while relaxing and reading a good book. One of my favorite bars in town, is an Irish pub, that features the most delicious food and drinks.

This video shows the host using Jameson to make her Irish coffee – which is exactly what my husband and I drink! There is nothing better than a Jameson sour or an Irish coffee with Jameson in to enjoy.

So, as St. Patricks day is truly not too far away, I found this wonderful video on how to make a delicious Irish coffee for one of the most beloved holidays of the year! I believe this is the perfect drink for cozying up on a winter night — no need to wait for St. Patricks day to bring a bit of the Irish into your own home!

I absolutely adore Thai iced coffee and tea drinks. They are the beverage I splurge and drink on special occasions. As they are quite sweet and rich, I do not believe they are suited towards everyday drinking.

I found this video online today showing Thai Iced Coffee being made in Thailand. It basically consists of:

sweetened condensed milk

sugar

coffee

ice

evaporated milk

The result of these ingredients is pure heaven in a cup. I love how in this video the result of the iced coffee is served in a plastic bag. I have not seen that done before.

Today is the perfect Autumn day to me! Cold, gray and rainy. That may sound strange, as most people I encounter like warm, sunny days but I’m just the opposite. I could live in an eternal climate of cold and rainy and be happy as a little clam! Anyways, on rare days like these I crave warm, cozy beverages to warm my insides. I did a little searching online and found a recipe from the Almond Board of California for vanilla almond milk latte. It is simple and easy to make. Here is the recipe:

2 cups vanilla-flavored almond milk

1 cup instant espresso-style coffee (about 1/2 cup for each serving)

Pinch cocoa (optional)

Warm milk in a saucepan or in the microwave. Insert whip or blender into warmed almond milk, turn on the motor and whip until milk becomes a dense foam. (If using a handheld blender, the results wont be as frothy.) Prepare espresso-style coffee according to package instructions, filling each mug halfway. Divide foamed milk among the mugs and into the coffee. Dust each mug with a pinch of cocoa, if desired.

RECIPE COURTESY OF THEPIONEERWOMAN.COM

Recently I perusing The Pioneer Woman’s site for inspiration recipes, as I often do, and came across her recipe titled “Perfect Iced Coffee”. I know winter is swiftly coming upon us, and this an iced coffee post, but I couldn’t help myself. It is that good and I still crave the iced goodness even during these colder months. In her post she talks about how hard it is to find that elusive cup of perfect iced coffee as often it will simply be warm coffee poured over ice – not good! I tried her ideas on how to make a perfect iced coffee and it is divine! I’m particularly fond of using sweetened condensed milk in mine.

Here is her directions on making it:

Ingredients

1 pound Ground Coffee (good, Rich Roast)

8 quarts Cold Water

Half-and-half (healthy Splash Per Serving)

Sweetened Condensed Milk (2-3 Tablespoons Per Serving)

Note: Can Use Skim Milk, 2% Milk, Whole Milk, Sugar, Artificial Sweeteners, Syrups…adapt To Your Liking!

(Originally adapted from Imbibe Magazine)

In a large container, mix ground coffee with water. Cover and allow to sit at room temperature eight hours or overnight.

Line a fine mesh strainer with cheesecloth and set over a pitcher or other container. Pour coffee/water mixture through the strainer, allowing all liquid to run through. Discard grounds.

Place coffee liquid in the fridge and allow to cool. Use as needed.

To make iced coffee, pack a glass full of ice cubes. Fill glass 2/3 full with coffee liquid. Add healthy splash of half-and-half. Add 2-3 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk (can use plain sugar instead) and stir to combine. Taste and adjust half-and-half and/or sweetened condensed milk as needed.

I’m a Starbucks junkie. I love it, crave it and need it on a daily basis. Okay, maybe not need it but I sure do want it. When I lived in Los Angeles I was a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf junkie but sadly, there are not any of those in the midwest. Anyways, a few months back I was reading an article online about Starbucks drinks that are not on their menu! How was I not privy to this? Regardless, I was quite intrigued to hear of a “Dirty Chai”. I love a good Iced Chai but find they can be too sweet; however, if you add a shot of Espresso you get a wonderful caffeine kick that also magically takes away some of that sweetness!

Here is the recipe for Starbucks Iced Dirty Chai I found online:

A cup

Ice

Chai Tea Concentrate – Starbucks uses Tazo which is available in most grocery store

Shot(s) of Espresso

Milk of your choice

Set glass on counter

Pour equal amounts of chai tea concentrate and milk, then add shot(s) of Espresso

Stir

Add ice

Now, go forth and enjoy this wonderful beverage!

Here is a recipe for your Thanksgiving table from Club House, a brand name long associated with spicing things up.

3/4 cup (175 mL) ground dark roast coffee (regular or decaffeinated) or to taste

2 tsp (10 mL) Club House ground cinnamon

1 tsp (5 mL) Club House pure vanilla extract

Whipped cream (optional)

1. Place coffee and cinnamon in filter basket of coffeemaker. Add water to coffeemaker; brew as directed.

2. In small saucepan, simmer milk, chocolate syrup and sugar over low heat until sugar dissolves. Stir milk mixture and vanilla into brewed coffee.

3. Pour into serving cups. Garnish with whipped cream and cinnamon, if desired.

Makes 8 servings.

Nutrition per serving: 110 g Cal., 4 g Total Fat (2.5 g saturated fat), 20 mg Cholesterol, 30 mg Sodium, 16 g Carbohydrate, 1 g Fibre, 12 g Sugars, 2 g Protein.

McCormick Canada has updated the packaging on its Club House Core spices and seasonings. These changes include beautiful photography of the product on the label showing the product in its natural, unprocessed state; easy to read, clean, modern font; and ideas on how to use the product highlighted on the side or back panel. There is now a clear label that allows the texture and colour of the spice or herb to be seen. On the tins, the variety name is added to side panel for ease of reading in the cupboard and a new red flip-top lid that maintains the tamper evident tab. On the large club pack size, there is a new bottle design that is ergonomic and easier to handle and a new red cap that maintains the dual flip-top opening feature.
