Iced Coffee Recipes: Frothy Iced Latte Recipe

Everyone loves a nice cool drink in the summer and coffee lovers are no different. It doesn’t matter how much they love coffee, sometimes it is just too hot to have one.

Icy Cold Goodness

If you enjoy coffee and love cold coffees, then you are going to love this recipe. You will find after trying this recipe that you don’t need to rush out and pay six bucks for an iced latte, you can make your own at home for a fraction of the cost.

Even more surprising than that, is the fact that these frothy iced lattes are easy to make and delicious.

What you need:

  • 1 cup of freshly brewed coffee
  • 1 cup of ice, crushed creates the nicest drinks
  • ½ cup of milk, use homogenized for a creamer drink
  • ½ tsp of cinnamon
  • ½ cup of whipped cream
  • Optional: sugar to taste (use about the same amount you would with your regular coffee.

Directions:

This is one of the simplest drinks that you can make and all you need to do is own a great blender.

  1. Brew a fresh pot of your favorite coffee. Any flavor you like but to keep it simple use a breakfast blend or something unflavored.
  2. Pour a cup of coffee and place it in the fridge. You do not want to use a hot coffee when you are mixing the ingredients together.
  3. In a blender, crush a cup of ice. Pour off any excess water.
  4. Spoon the ice into a cooled glass and place in the freezer until you are ready for it.
  5. In the blender, add your cooled coffee and the milk.
  6. Mix on high until everything is well blended and frothy.
  7. Add a few teaspoons of sugar until it is the sweetness you prefer.
  8. Blend together until the sugar dissolves.
  9. Pour into the glass over the crushed ice.
  10. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with the cinnamon.
  11. Serve cold.

Mix it up by using different flavors of coffee or by sprinkling chocolate on the whipped cream.
